Who we are

Volta Advisory is a trading name of SMS Digital Media Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company no. 14361726). For the purposes of UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), SMS Digital Media Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us about anything in this policy at hello@voltaadvisory.co.uk.

What we collect and why

When you submit an enquiry through this website we collect the information you provide: your name, work email address, company name, phone number, industry, approximate marketing budget and the message you write. We use this information for one purpose — to review and respond to your enquiry, and, where you become a client, to deliver our services. Our lawful basis is your consent (which you give by ticking the box on the form) and, where we take steps at your request before entering a contract, legitimate interest.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels on this website. Our web fonts are served by Google Fonts, which may log the IP address of the request as part of serving the file.

Where your data goes

Form submissions are processed by Netlify (our website host) and delivered to our email, which is provided by Google Workspace. Both act as data processors on our behalf. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else except where required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data for as long as is needed to handle your enquiry and for up to 24 months afterwards, unless you become a client, in which case we retain what is necessary for the engagement and our legal obligations (for example, accounting records).

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to our processing of it, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@voltaadvisory.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and revise the date at the top.
